IAC OFEK is an online learning platform for students of all ages to study from the comfort of their homes. 
Learn from the very best teachers from around the country. Courses are held in small groups, allowing for direct interaction between students and teachers. Teachers are well-versed in teaching with state-of-the-art online learning tools, specifically suited for distance learning.  OFEK’s focus on teaching the Hebrew language in a warm and Israeli atmosphere. We offer courses starting at 1st grade to adults, from very beginners to advanced levels. 

On our platform you will also find courses in a verity of subjects covering Israeli History and the Holocaust, Israeli poetry, special events and Holiday activities. 

Enrichment courses cancellation policy: 
Students who cancel their registration up to a week prior to the start of the course will receive a full refund minus a 6.5% nonrefundable processing fee. The course is nonrefundable thereafter 

Hebrew course cancellation policy: 
Cancellations up to one week prior to course start date will receive a full refund minus a 6.5% nonrefundable processing fee 

Cancellations after the 1st session will receive a full refund minus 6.5% and $25 nonrefundable processing and registration fees. 

Cancellations between the 2nd-4th class will receive a credit for the full amount minus $25 nonrefundable processing and 6.5% registration fees. Classes already attended will be deducted from the credit amount. The credit can be used to purchase another IAC OFEK course. 

Cancellation from the 4th session onward, will not be eligible for a refund. 

It is the student’s responsibility to check the course schedule before registering. 

Please note that processing fees are non-refundable.

Students not attending a session will not be eligible for a refund for that session. OFEK does not provide make-up sessions or recordings of a session due to privacy issues; students will be responsible to communicate with the class teacher regarding any missed materials.  

Courses that are interrupted due to technical difficulty on the student’s side will not be refunded or reimbursed in any way. 

IAC OFEK reserves the right to remove students from a course session due to improper behavior. No refund will be issued for this session. If the problem persists, IAC OFEK reserves the right to remove the student from the course without a refund.

As we are committed to each student’s success, we strive to find the best level to bring results!  

Transferring between levels is possible until the 3rd class, depending on availability.

Yes, our Conversational Hebrew courses are offered in two different levels. Each level is offed twice a year (fall semester and winter semester). Students can register for one or two semesters.

These courses can complement another Hebrew course in OFEK or serve as a stand-alone course to improve the level of speaking.

‘HEBREW FROM SCRATCH PART B ‘for levels 4 and up

The book provides a wide range of reading materials and exercises from various language layers and stages, emphasizing communication and systematic practice of grammar, syntax, and dictionary use. Additionally, it includes verses, midrashim, Hebrew reading chapters, an Israeli singer, vocal expressions, and slang.

The book has a Hebrew-English dictionary covering all the vocabulary.

Amazon or eBay are the best places to find the book.

Educational materials are recommended but not mandatory for adult courses.

Hebrew courses are a year-long program and consist of 26 sessions

Conversational Hebrew courses – 13 sessions

Enrichment, Holocaust and History courses vary in the number of sessions (but usually consist of 5 sessions)

Each course varies in price. 

Hebrew courses for kids and teens cost $680 for 26 sessions. Each session is 45-50 minutes. 
Hebrew High School Accredited courses cost $980 each course has 26, each session is 60-minute. 

Adult courses cost $680 for 26 sessions, each class is 60-minutes long

Educational materials are included in the course tuition.

For our Hebrew programs, IAC OFEK is using online educational materials from one of the most prestigious educational companies in Israel called CET/מטח. These materials are widely used by the Israeli Ministry of Education.

The books are digital, and the student will be able to access additional materials and fun activities in Hebrew that they can use both in class and at home.

Each student will receive a username and password to access the online materials, in the first few weeks of the course.

All orders have a 6.5% registration and processing fee. Please note that these fees are non-refundable. 

Courses are held in small groups which allows for direct interaction between students and teachers. Courses are limited to 13 students.

All our courses are live and held via Zoom. Classes are recorded for marketing, quality and training purposes.

Unfortunately, we do not offer make-up classes, and due to privacy issues, we can’t send recordings of our courses. The best practice is to let your teacher know you will miss a class so they can prepare a class summary for you. You can always join the next class a few minutes earlier to talk with your teacher.

The Accrediting Commission for Schools, Western Association of Schools, and Colleges (ACS WASC) is a prestigious accrediting association that works closely with the Office of Overseas Schools under the U.S. Department of State. ACS WASC offers accreditation services to over 5,200 public, independent, church-related, and proprietary pre-K–12 and adult schools globally, with a particular focus on California, Hawaii, Guam, Asia, the Pacific Region, the Middle East, Africa, and Europe. The commission works with 20 associations in joint accreditation processes and collaborates with other organizations such as the California Department of Education to align the accreditation process with state and federal school planning statutes. ACS WASC’s mission is to advance and validate quality ongoing school improvement by supporting its member institutions to engage in rigorous and relevant self-evaluation and peer review processes that focus on student learning. The WASC accreditation for second language credit gives students in grades 9-12 the opportunity to receive credit for completing a second language course at the IAC OFEK. The specific credit can vary depending on the policies of the school district the student attends. Generally, the credit is recognized as meeting the language requirements for high school graduation and may also be used to fulfill college admission or graduation requirements. Ultimately, the accreditation provides students with the opportunity to develop language skills that can enhance their educational and career opportunities.

To receive the credit students should attend at least 90% of classes, complete all the homework assignments, and complete at least 3 projects and 2 assessments throughout the year.

We are excited to announce that the IAC OFEK received accreditation from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) for our Hebrew online program. Achieving accreditation from WASC assures our school community that our program’s purposes are appropriate and accomplished through a viable education program. This accreditation validates the integrity of our program and transcripts, making it easier for students to transfer credits to other English-speaking schools, which is critical for college and university acceptance worldwide.

In addition to these benefits, the WASC accreditation process provides a systematic way of examining our program, processes, and data around school goals and student learning through data analysis, reflection, inquiry, and dialogue. This process builds a professional culture to support the schoolwide action plan and fosters the continuous improvement of our program and operations to support student learning.

WASC accreditation also provide valuable insight from fellow educators visiting our program, offering a fresh perspective and valuable feedback for improvement.It is greatly beneficial for our Hebrew online program and helps us provide the best possible education for our students.

Sha’at Chevrah (social hour) is a free, fun, extra OFEK session for our elementary grade’s students (1^st-6^th grades), and the event is also open to the community.

At IAC OFEK, we want to give our students more opportunities to speak Hebrew and therefore created the “Medabrim with Ofek” Program as a gift.

Once a month we meet for a session where we are discussing a variety of different topics. During the sessions, we meet participants from other courses, different teachers, and most importantly, have fun talking, improving Hebrew, and enriching vocabulary.
