Know Your Facts – Antisemitism and Jewish History

This course provides a comprehensive overview of antisemitism, Jewish history, and its contemporary relevance, aiming to foster understanding, empathy, and critical thinking among students.
The course goal is to provide the tools and confidence for pre college High School students as a preparation for conversations that may come up on campus and amongst peers.
The course will be conducted in English, meeting once a week for 55 minutes and will contain 3 lessons, each focusing on understanding the different terms pertaining to antisemitism and the historical events that correlate with the term.
The 4th session will focus on action items and activism on campus.
Course overview and objectives:
Introduction to Antisemitism
Objective: To understand the concept of antisemitism and its historical roots.
Jewish History: Ancient Roots and Diaspora
Objective: To explore the ancient history of Jews and their experiences in the diaspora.
Modern Antisemitism and Holocaust
Objective: To delve into modern antisemitism and the catastrophic events of the Holocaust.
Contemporary Issues and Jewish Resilience
Objective: To address current challenges faced by Jewish communities and celebrate resilience.

Provide tools and support Israeli-Americans to become effective advocates for Israel on social media and on campuses.
