During the course “Each of Us Has a Name”, we will read and write inspired by two particularly fascinating Israeli poets: Zelda and Erez Bitton. We will delve into the secret of divinity, prayer, and revelation in Zelda’s poetry and its deep connection with the world of the Bible and faith. Zelda gave us the splendor of the poem ‘Each of Us Has a Name’, taught us to look at life in a peaceful, wise way. During the second part of the course, we will study the songs about blindness and the protest poems by Erez Bitton, a poet who won the Israel Prize for Poetry five years ago and whom many consider a father and role model for contemporary ethnic poetry in Israel. By reading together, we will increase our familiarity with the world of Israeli poetry and will increase our own creativity. The course will be held in Hebrew.
