Adventures in Cybersecurity and Israeli Innovation Middle School and High School

The objective of this course is to provide students a high-level understanding of the foundations of cybersecurity in a fun and exciting way.

Cybersecurity is one of the hottest areas in technology today. Increasingly more daily life is conducted on the internet – we work online, we communicate online, our cars and homes are connected to the internet, and more. Crimes that occur in the real world – such as stealing – also happen on the internet. Just as you should look both ways before crossing the street, you have to be careful when using the internet, and that’s where cybersecurity comes in! In this course, students will learn the foundations of cybersecurity, about networks and how the internet works, hacking, cyber threats, encryption, firewalls and why we need them. This and more will be presented in a hands-on way where the participants actually play the roles of hackers, ethical hackers, and more.

Israel is a world leader in cybersecurity innovation. During the course, we will share real-life examples of Israeli startups that have made groundbreaking impacts in this industry.
