A book club with a special twist. No need to read a 400-page novel. Grab your coffee or cocktail and join us for this special encounter. Unlike standard book clubs, this course is built on discussions of short stories, songs / poems, and original and translated literature.
Yael, an experienced group discussion facilitator, will read the literature aloud (a short story or a few poems), and lead a conversation about life, relationships, love, parenting, social justice, and much more. In this series we are going to deal with an important theme – a home, a house, the difference between them, and the question of a sense of belonging and community. As the world becomes smaller, this topic becomes ever-more relevant and common.
We will read from stories by Meir Shalev and part of a novel he wrote, poems by Amichai, Lea Goldberg, Erez Biton, and Maya Tevet Dayan. Relevant material will be sent beforehand.
This is a series of courses that are offered throughout the year. Different content will be taught in each course. We invite you to register to the whole series.
מפגשי הספרות של יעל שונים ממועדוני ספרות קלאסיים. במקום המבנה המוכר של מפגשים, העוסקים בספר רחב יריעה שניתן למשתתפים חודשים קודם, הטקסט – הסיפור הקצר, השירים, הספרות המקורית והמתורגמת – מסופרים ומוקראים על ידי יעל בעת המפגש. לאחר מכן, יתקיים דיון שעניינו העלאת סוגיות ומושגים בתחום הספרותי, והצפה של נושאים שנוגעים לכולנו כמו :זוגיות, הורות, אהבה, אכזבה, טבע, צדק חברתי ועוד.
בסדרה זאת נעסוק בנושא “הבית”: שאלת הבית, ההשתייכות, הקהילה והבית הפנימי שבלב. ז’אק דרידה דיבר על הבית שהוא כשפת אם: “מה שאינו עוזב אותנו לעולם מהו דבר שלא משנה מה, יהא אשר יהא, לעולם לא נוכל להיפרד ממנו? לא משנה כמה רחוק נלך, כמה שונה נשתנה וכמה זמן או מרחק יעברו, מהו זה שלעולם לא נוכל לנתק מאיתנו?”
