Level 1 is taught in Hebrew and is intended for Hebrew-speaking students who do not know how to read and write in Hebrew. The sessions will be held twice a week for 45-50 minutes and will focus on acquiring and developing the following language skills: reading and reading comprehension, writing, grammar, listening comprehension, and conversation.

During the course students will learn:
*To recognize the alphabet: sounds (vowels & consonants), short words, short sentences.
*To write the letters of the alphabet in print, nikud, words, and short sentences.
* To read simple words and short sentences.
* To converse in Hebrew using new vocabulary learned in class.

Participants will be given homework assignments to reinforce material learned in the classroom. Join our class today to develop your Hebrew skills and together we will learn to speak, read, and write in Hebrew.
