The course will be taught in Hebrew and English and is intended for Non- Hebrew speaking students.
The sessions are held once a week for 60 minutes and will focus on learning Hebrew while emphasizing the development of linguistic abilities, including speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Throughout the course, students will be exposed to vocabulary and content from Israeli culture.
Participants will receive tasks to practice at home and will be given assignments for maximum assimilation of the material covered in class.
Preliminary requirements:
The students’ language skills are at a high level. Students are able to write and read independently, and present pieces of information they have created themselves with the help of research. Students are able to identify and use all tenses – present, past and future.
In the course we will learn:
We will be exposed to a selection of the representations of Hebrew culture and Jewish heritage in songs, stories, newspaper articles, classical literature and poetry.
We will enrich the vocabulary and the richness of the language while gaining a better understanding of Israeli culture: television, music, journalism, current affairs, Hebrew slang.
We will strengthen the grammar in all its areas.
