Course description:
The course is taught in Hebrew and is intended for Hebrew-speaking students.
The sessions are held once a week for 45-50 minutes and will focus on learning Hebrew while emphasizing the development of linguistic abilities, including speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Throughout the course, students will be exposed to vocabulary and content from Israeli culture.
Participants will receive tasks to practice at home and will be given assignments for maximum assimilation of the material covered in class.
Preliminary requirements:
Students who can hold a conversation at a high level, read articles, and books regularly. Students are able to write independently from hearing what is said or read. Students master the three tenses – present, past and future.
In the course we will learn:
We will explore the Hebrew language through Israeli culture, music, food, language (Hebrew slang), geography and history.
We will practice advanced writing.
We will delve into the grammar according to the different tenses and constructions.
We will read articles, songs and stories in Hebrew.
We will watch videos in Hebrew and analyze them.
We will read Israeli newspapers together and learn Hebrew through current events.
