The course is taught in Hebrew and is intended for Hebrew-speaking students.
The sessions are held once a week for 60 minutes and will focus on learning Hebrew while emphasizing the development of linguistic abilities, including speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Throughout the course, students will be exposed to vocabulary and content from Israeli culture.
Participants will receive tasks to practice at home and will be given assignments for maximum assimilation of the material covered in class.
Preliminary requirements:
The course is designed for students who know how to read complex texts and stories, and speak and write paragraphs in a proper structure. Students know how to use present and past tenses. The students know how to gather information through listening and reading, organizing, writing and presenting the information.
In the course we will learn:
Reading – in-depth familiarity with different types of texts (narrative text, critical text, informational text). Developing the ability to analyze the texts and extract information from these texts.
Writing – building an argument and formulating it Development can formulate paragraphs according to the various texts studied.
Conversation – developing the ability to manage the conversation on various topics, while formulating an argument, and expressing an opinion.
A complex vocabulary that corresponds to the literary content studied in the course (words from written Israeli literature, journalism, from Jewish sources).
Syntax and morphology:
Using compound linking words (even though.. because …)
Building complex sentences to create paragraphs
Extracting facts from complex texts and various articles
The verb system:
The students will know the declension of the verbs in the different constructions, and will know how to use them in the syntax in the correct way
