In honor of Holocaust Remembrance Day, OFEK HUB is inviting you to a parents’ meeting on the topic: Talking to Your Children About the Holocaust.
Join us for an informative session on discussing this very difficult topic with young children and how to field their questions and concerns sensitively.
In our session we will take about:
- Holocaust education is NOT Holocaust history.
- Films, TV, and books are great ways to introduce children to the topic.
- Have tough conversations at home.
- Teach children to sort through misinformation.
- Help kids with remembrance.
- The Holocaust teaches the importance of tolerance, respect, and inclusion.
- Illustrates the dangers of hate speech.
- Inform ACCURATELY.
- Supports resilience.
- Prevents future atrocities.
The meeting will take place on January 25th at 5:00 PM PST / 8:00 PM EST.
The event will be held in English.
The event is FREE and open to the public. Please register by January 24th.
