How can my child earn a high school credit?
- Contact your High School’s consular to ensure the school accepts WASC accredits courses completed through another institution or program and in what capacity (as extra credit, as replacement for second language requirements etc.)
- Select the appropriate* OFEK Hebrew course on OFEK website.
- Complete all credit course requirements
- At the end of the course the student will receive the transcript verifying course completion.
- Students will provide their primary institute OFEK’s transcript to be added to the school’s transcript as approved by the school at the beginning of the year.
My child’s school is not on the WASC directory. Can they still earn high school credit?
Yes! If your child’s high school is accepting one of the other regional accrediting associations, they most likely would be able to transfer the credit from us – reach out to your school directly to ask about their credit transfer policies, requirements, and process. View the
WASC letter for schools.
Other Regional Accrediting Associations:
Credit requirements:
- Attend at least 90% of classes
- Complete all homework assignments and submit them on time.
- Complete at least 3 projects and 2 assessments throughout the year.
It’s also important to note that if a student fails to meet these requirements, they will not be granted any credit.
Please note: Students and parents are required to check with their local high school or district on their credit transfer policies and processes.
