  My Story

  My name is Hanita Hayim.
  I have been a Hebrew teacher for more than 25 years. I started my teaching career in Israel when I taught first, second, and fifth grades in elementary school.  Out of love for the Hebrew language and a desire to pass it on to future generations, I studied teaching Hebrew to the upper grades. I also specialized in teaching Hebrew as a second language.
  After a few years, I realized that my goal in life is to teach Hebrew in other countries. About 10 years ago, I moved to the US and since then I have been enjoying teaching Hebrew in a Jewish school where I get great pleasure from hearing the children learn this special language.

  הסיפור שלי

  שמי חניתה חיים ואני מורה לעברית למעלה מ-20 שנים. את דרכי בהוראה התחלתי בישראל כאשר לימדתי בבית ספר יסודי כיתות א’-ב’, כיתות ג’ וכיתות ה’. מתוך אהבה לשפה העברית והרצון להנחיל אותה לדורות הבאים, למדתי הוראת עברית לכיתות הגבוהות. בנוסף התמחיתי בהוראת עברית כשפה שנייה. לאחר מספר שנים הגעתי למסקנה שהייעוד שלי בחיים הוא ללמד עברית בארצות מעבר לים ולפני כ-6 שנים עברתי לארה”ב ומאז אני מלמדת עברית בבית ספר יהודי. אני מאוד אוהבת ללמד עברית ונהנית לשמוע את הילדים מדברים בעברית.
