  My Story

  Shalom, my name is Oshrat Rotenberg.
  I was born and raised in Israel, I’m married and have three amazing girls and a dog. We moved to Canada eight years ago, and ever since I have been teaching Hebrew as a second language in a Hebrew day school. I love every minute of it, especially bringing the love of Israeli culture, song, and tradition to the classroom and the kids. To see the kids learn to read, write, and speak in Hebrew so far away from Israel is really special and heart-wrenching.
  I have a B.A. in social work and in special needs education and I have been working with kids for more than 20 years now.
  In my free time, I love to travel and explore new things, I’ve like to read, swim, and spend time with my family.

  הסיפור שלי

  שלום, שמי אושרת רוטנברג.
  נולדתי וגדלתי בישראל, אני נשואה ויש לי שלוש בנות מדהימות וכלב. עברנו לקנדה לפני שמונה שנים, ומאז אני מלמדת עברית כשפה שנייה בבית ספר יהודי. אני אוהבת כל רגע, במיוחד להביא את אהבת התרבות, השירים והמסורת הישראלית לכיתה ולילדים. לראות את הילדים לומדים לקרוא, לכתוב ולדבר בעברית כל כך רחוק מישראל זה ממש מיוחד ונוגע ללב.
  יש לי תואר B.A. בעבודה סוציאלית ובהוראת חינוך לצרכים מיוחדים ואני עובדת עם ילדים כבר יותר מ-20 שנה.
  בזמני הפנוי, אני אוהבת לטייל ולחקור דברים חדשים, אני אוהבת לקרוא, לשחות ולבלות עם המשפחה שלי.
